As you can see from my previous story, I found myself waiting months for my pain management appointment.
I got an appointment for May 20th 2015, to this I was delighted as my pain is chronic and I need my epidural injections to make my life easier. My faith in the health system was yet again pulled from under me as my appointment was cancelled. To say I was disappointed would be a mild way of saying how I felt.
When on the phone to ask why my appointment was cancelled I was told (as before) we need the day rooms to cover A+E because of the overflow because the nurses walked out...
My god, what is going on? Are we suddenly a third world country? I now have no choice but to go to A+E to get pain relief.
