"Mental health services Sligo"

About: Sligo/Leitrim Mental Health Services / Sligo Adult Community Mental Health Services

(as a relative),

A family member has been availing of the mental Health services in Sligo for the past 30 years. She has been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. As her family we have tried on many occasions to access the services to ask for help in dealing with the family member. We feel we are on our trying to deal with family member. We have had to call the guards and get her sectioned as she was in no state to be at home.

After coming through another crisis we agAin our now faced with dealing this persons behaviour, moods and chaotic lifestyle.

We feel we have been abandoned by the services and feel the family member will die as a Result of the illness and lifestyle they live.

We have asked on many occasions for help to get no response.

I meet with service users and sometimes with their families. I assess psychological problems and provide psychological interventions in an effort to help service users overcome their difficulties.
