"I cannot praise mental health services highly enough"

I have recently needed the services of the mental health team, both as an inpatient in Sligo and with the community teams (crisis resolution team and day hospital service in Carrick on Shannon).

I found all staff i encountered to be fantastic, giving the care and compassion required whilst also giving me the skills to manage my mental health crisis. I always found the staff, from consultant to the nurses, professional, caring and understanding. I cannot praise the Mental health services highly enough. I feel safe being in their care.

** Acute mental health crisis assessments should not be performed in Emergency departments. One of the worst places this can happen**
