My daughter has been waiting 4 years to get an apnea test done. So finally received a letter stating it could be picked upped at the hospital in mid July and returned 2 days later. So I was a bit confused as originally was told that it would be done in the hospital.
So the difficulties I was facing was
1) It is the summer holidays and I am a single parent with a child with medical needs already making it difficult to get someone to mind her.
2) I don't drive so unless I get someone to take me I have to use public transport. ( I am in Sligo)
I phoned and explained the above and asked if their would be an option to:
a) Pick it up early as heading to the epilepsy department in temple Street
B) Is there any chance it could be delivered or got from Sligo hospital.
Was told couldn't pick it up early as could only get on a Monday ( which the appointment I was heading to wasn't)
They are unable to pass/ give to Sligo hospital as there's no respiratory paediatrician.
I could however have the appointment at a later date
The secretary tried hard to be sympathetic.
( Not practical for me as outlined above plus waited 4 years)
