For the last few months, I have struggled with my feelings, and it all came to a head in the middle of July when I attended to take my own life. I have a young family but that didn't matter as I was feeling so so low and felt that my family and the world would be better off without me. Luckily I was found and rushed into hospital where the staff there were absolutely superb. I was referred to the Crisis Team the next day in the hospital, and I was told I would have a home visit from the team the next day. True to their word, the team were there the next day and we talked about my feelings and why I did what I did. The team were a brilliant support and visited 3 times each week until I was over the worst. To say their support was top class is an understatement, and I am very grateful the service was available to me as only for them, I don't think I'd be here today to tell my story.
"I'm here today to tell my story"
