"Kind support from busy maternity ward"

I was in Sligo university hospital maternity ward after having a scheduled caesarean section in September this year.

The ward was incredibly busy and staff were under massive pressure. I did feel that because of this care was relatively basic, however one nurse Shannon was so kind and caring to me while working her night shifts.

She really helped me during the two very difficult nights I spent there after a surgery and an unsettled baby and very noisy ward. She definitely made my experience much more positive than it otherwise would have been.
