Kilbryde Hospice - Patient feedback in Palliative Care
Kilbryde Hospice is an independent hospice that provides specialist palliative care to the people of South Lanarkshire in Scotland. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the staff and volunteers, they now have 72 positive stories on Care Opinion to date, that have been read over 28,000 times!
Clinical Services Manager Margaret Mary, was a guest speaker at our Care Opinion Scotland Conference in 2020, and spoke about the importance of feedback in palliative care not only for patients, but for the organisation as a whole.

Back in February, CLAN Coordinator Sine MacDonald was also named as a Care Opinion ‘Star Responder’ for her thoughtful and personal approach to responding to stories. When we let her know about this recognition, she said:
“When I heard that I had been chosen as a Care Opinion star responder I was very humbled and delighted.
I take great pleasure in reading reviews from our patients and carers who have taken time out of what is often one of the worst times in their lives, to think of us at Kilbryde and express their feelings and thanks.
We always hope we have done our best by each and every patient and family we care for, but when it is put down in words then it is all the more special.
In return, I like the family to know how privileged we felt looking after their loved one whatever their need was at the time, and to find comfort that we did it as well as we had hoped."
"These reviews, for our Hospice team, are a welcomed morale booster particularly in these difficult times.”
